Suicide ..Not An Escape From Life

Standard

Sargam Mishra Suicide Article.pngClose to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds. Many more attempt suicide. Suicide occurs throughout the lifespan and is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds globally.

Suicide is a global phenomenon; in fact, 78% of suicides occurred in low- and middle-income countries in 2015. Suicide accounted for 1.4% of all deaths worldwide, making it the 17th leading cause of death in 2015. There are indications that for each adult who died of suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide.

If you have experienced the pain of losing a loved one who committed suicide you can understand why it is so important to talk about it and spread awareness and discourage children and young adults to even consider this as an option in life.

The present wave of children that are incarnating are highly sensitive and emotional by nature. When born in a family or environment which does not seem conducive or in alignment with their expectation leads to disgust , resentment and depression.

I was asked to connect with an 18 year old boy from Maharashtra in July he had several issues with parents a very soft personality. I was asked to have a conversation with Mridul by a close family member , The background given was that he is in depression and was not interested in going to college as his self esteem was very low as he was not able to speak english. His father is an officer , alcoholic but was rarely around due to his transferable work. Mother a house wife but extremely dissatisfied in married life and quite superstitious and lots of fights between the son and mother.

I scheduled a video call with Mridul so that he could open up about his issues. As we saw each other on Video there he was smiling in front of me , he was expecting a very senior lady but seeing me smile he gave a huge smile in return ,I complimented Mridul for his smile and we burst into a laugh he was a bit hesitant and said  ‘Didi Mujhe Bohot Gussa Aata hai’ (I Get Very Angry) and then I end up resenting the outcome of my anger… and we continued with our session I found him hesitant to divulge about his life initially but gradually it was a good session.

After we concluded the session I was reviewing our talk and was reflecting , children nowadays have a lot to deal with at an early age. With parents not being available, rise in divorce rates, issues with self image and confidence, fear of rejection, handling expectations and lots of competition. Children nowadays do not have the emotional cushion, when they are hit by harsh realities they do not have the strength to cope and their life is scattered.

I remembered a talk I attended in 2015 where Sadhguru was emphasising how the youth will need to be brought up consciously because they have access to all kind of information today , they also have access to means (money and resources) they can either make themselves up or will fall prey to drugs, pornography, addiction and depression causing nuisance in family and society and once they realise their mistakes can also commit suicide for lack of sense of self worth and purpose.

After the session we could only connect on watsapp , in September when I messaged him I got to know his father was ill and he was in hospital, last message I received in October on Dushera and he replied with a smiley. I left for my vacation and had not heard from him in a month… Yesterday morning I got a message that Mridul committed suicide. I was really struck and was resenting again and again I should have called him up….the only question haunted me WHY… WHY YOU DID THIS??

Your Life is THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF LIFE , the most amazing phenomena happening now! No person , no situation, no event is worthy enough of ending this life. When you allow life to flow through you , you are playing an important part in the web of the COSMOS.

THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO ALL THOSE PRECIOUS SOULS
WHO HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN TO END THEIR OWN LIVES AND TO
THOSE WHO ARE STILL WITH US BUT STRUGGLING WITH DARK AND DEPRESSIVE THOUGHTS AND CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE.

MAY THEY ALL FIND A REASON TO LIVE.

Suicide is actually the greatest living crimes one can commit.

Here is why:

Your Body Is Sacred , The body is the only means through which the spirit or the soul finds expression in the material world. It is our responsibility to take care of this body given to us by our parents and ensure we use it to the fullest potential. When we commit suicide we are only ending the body but the spirit lives and has to wait in the astral world for the time you were meant to live. This is a painful process because without the body , the soul cannot experience time and this wait seems to be like several 100 years. As the carnal desires of the soul were still not fulfilled and its existence was ended abruptly the soul longs to experience them but fails miserably. This is similar to living in hell , the soul goes through immense remorse and wait in the astral plane.

Although it seems an end of suffering , it actually is a beginning of far more greater misery and remorse. Ignorance is not a bliss , when we see such events in life our duty for becoming responsible and conscious parents increases manifold.

Unless we lay a strong foundation of character building and virtues for our children by practicing and living the teachings ourselves it will be very difficult to expect them to follow. A better world can only be created by our actions, words and thoughts.

This is my message to everyone out there who are thinking of committing suicide rethink about the potential of life which is reverberating within you. You are VALUABLE!!

Love Sargam!

Reference article “Suicide Is Not Death,” William Q. Judge (a close colleague of H.P. Blavatsky and co-founder with her of the Theosophical Society) expressed the matter like this:

“The fate of the suicide is horrible in general. He has cut himself off from his body by using mechanical means that affect the body, but cannot touch the real man. He then is projected into the astral world, for he has to live somewhere. There the remorseless law, which acts really for his good, compels him to wait until he can properly die. Naturally he must wait, half dead, the months or years which, in the order of nature, would have rolled over him before body and soul and spirit could rightly separate. He becomes a shade; he lives in purgatory, so to say, called by the Theosophist the “place of desire and passion,” or “Kama-Loka.” He exists in the astral realm entirely, eaten up by his own thoughts. Continually repeating in vivid thoughts the act by which he tried to stop his life’s pilgrimage, he at the same time sees the people and the place he left, but is not able to communicate with any one …”

Healing Depression – Mind Body and Soul Healing

Sargam Mishra Depression Healing Pranic Healing.png

Depression I heard this word when I was a small child one of our close relative was visiting a psychiatrist regularly as she was being treated for depression. As a child I understood when people are really really sad they get this ailment called “Depression” I could not understand then how the elders could be so sad they had to go to a doctor.Me and my sister every night used to get scolded because we used to burst into laughter  while discussing our day sometimes a friend’s parent behavior sometimes we used to mimic our school teachers and then just end up rolling on the bed. Every night the house use to echo of giggles and laughs sometimes it  was for no reason just by seeing each other we could pass on the currents of mischief and burst in laughter. As children smiling and laughing is our natural state however when one grows up we start looking for reasons for being happy and depend on others for making us happy. So instant of the constant “Happiness” becomes a variable having dependencies on people and situations and when there is a dependency then there are rejections, failures, heartbreaks, sorrows and sadness giving depression an entry into our lives.

A study by the Government of India shows that one out of every five Indians is suffering from a mental disorder. In fact, that places every family at severe risk of multiple issues such as chronic depression, suicidal tendencies and work related stress. 50 per cent of corporate India is under chronic stress with 30 per cent having problems such as addiction and marital discord, and 20 per cent suffering from depression. That effectively means that a rise in depression is a very real threat that could affect the country’s denizens and economy over a period of time.According to the World Health Organisation report in 2011, one out of seven people in India i.e 15 per cent of Indian population was depressed and in 2015, one out of five people in India i.e 20 per cent of Indian population is depressed that showcases an alarming increase in rates of depression by five per cent of the population in just a span of four years putting us all in grave situation.

These are alarming figures with nearly 1 in every 5 person going through a mental health disorder. Earlier the government and also the people never took Depression as a serious ailment but today it has come up in such a big way that no way we can escape from it. Now people are talking openly about it just like the heart ailments. As a Pranic Healer I have been working with several patients going through anxiety and depression and as I understand this is not something that can be worked only at a body or mind level it has to do with Body Mind and Soul healing.

There’s no one proven way that people recover from depression, and it’s different for everyone. However, today there are a range of treatments and health professionals who can be of help. The main medical treatment for depression is antidepressant medication. while there is no simple explanation as to how it works, i have found most of my clients on heavy dose of antidepressants leading to slower metabolism and too much lethargy and sleep.

Psychological treatments (also known as talking therapies) can help you change your thinking patterns and improve your coping skills so you’re better equipped to deal with life’s stresses and conflicts. There are several types of effective psychological treatments for depression, as well as different delivery options. Some people prefer to work one on one with a professional, while others get more out of a group environment. A growing number of online programs, or e-therapies, are also available. These therapies can help but it needs to be coupled with an inner transformation “If you are causing depression to yourself, it means you are able to generate a substantial amount of intense emotions and thoughts, but in the wrong direction. If you don’t have very strong emotions or very intense thoughts about something, you cannot get depressed. It is just that you are generating thoughts and emotions that work against you, not for you. So you are strong enough to cause depression to yourself.” Sadhguru

So if you understand one simple thing that whatever thoughts and emotions you create if they are not adding to your well being and are not helping you feel better you need to drop them. This can be done by practicing mindfulness in daily life. When a person starts living life either in the past or in the future then it is a sure shot way of creating stress and anxiety in life.

Pranic Healing quickly removes stress, anxiety, depression and fears by cleansing the energy field that surrounds the body. The word “Prana” in Pranic Healing, is another name for our “Vital life force Energy”, and our thoughts and emotions can affect this “Vital energy” keeping us well balanced and in good health, or making us ill.

The practitioners job is to re balance, harmonize and strengthen our body’s energetic defense system. It is well known by Holistic Healing Practitioners that physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual imbalances start in the energy field.

Now if our energy field which surrounds the body is healthy, it can offer us protection from negativity in our life, which over time can cause us to become unwell at any level, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

So how does it work?

In the healing session the practitioner will cleanse the negative used up energy, which has blocked or depleted your energy field. After the body has been “Cleansed” it is then “Energised” the affected organs, Chakras, or the injured or diseased part , re balancing and strengthening your body’s energetic defense system,This allows the natural healing process to take place.

In addition to receiving Pranic Psychotherapy sessions, it is suggested that clients who are healing from depression should also incorporate the following (this will greatly accelerate your healing process):

1. Meditation on Twin Hearts with Psychological Healing.  Do you have 30 minutes a day to bless the earth and receive psychological healing? Pranic Healing Founder, Master Choa Kok Sui states that this meditation is an ‘anti-depressant’, and has many beneficial effects. All you have to do is sit and receive. (1)

2. Service. Is there a way you can give back to your community? Is there a group or charity that you would like to support? When we give – we receive. In Pranic Healing we recommend 3-4 hours of service a week. This will help offset any troubles or ‘rough patches’ in one’s life allowing for healing and greater harmony. It may happen immediately; it may take some time. Continue to do weekly service as long as you can. Do not give up or procrastinate.

3. How depleted has the body been? If severe, then the energy body really needs to be recharged (this will strengthen the physical body). Here are a few tips:

a) Stand outside for a few moments, form the intent to absorb the healing prana or energy from the Sun. Please note: this is very powerful and should only be done once a week for 10 minutes max.

b) Do you have trees close by? If so rest, read, meditate under the trees. Trees give off an excess amount of prana. You can recharge greatly by spending time amongst them.

c) Find Chinese or Korean ginseng. This is extremely recharging. The effects of the ginseng can last up to 8 hours. Make sure you get good quality ginseng. If you have taken Level 1 Pranic Healing, scan the ginseng to see which has the most prana. (2)

4. Increase your will power and exercise! I’ve talked many times about the benefit of physical exercise in this blog so I’ll just touch on it briefly. When we experience depression, we need to do lots of physical exercise to flush out the negative energy. Find a style of exercise that you will enjoy and do it regularly.

5. Lavender Salt baths. 2 cups salt with 10 drops of Lavender oil in water. Soak for 20 minutes, rinse off. Repeat several times a week. *Use normal table salt, sea salt, dead sea salt, as it has the needed energetic properties for this type of healing.
