Suicide ..Not An Escape From Life

Standard

Sargam Mishra Suicide Article.pngClose to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds. Many more attempt suicide. Suicide occurs throughout the lifespan and is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds globally.

Suicide is a global phenomenon; in fact, 78% of suicides occurred in low- and middle-income countries in 2015. Suicide accounted for 1.4% of all deaths worldwide, making it the 17th leading cause of death in 2015. There are indications that for each adult who died of suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide.

If you have experienced the pain of losing a loved one who committed suicide you can understand why it is so important to talk about it and spread awareness and discourage children and young adults to even consider this as an option in life.

The present wave of children that are incarnating are highly sensitive and emotional by nature. When born in a family or environment which does not seem conducive or in alignment with their expectation leads to disgust , resentment and depression.

I was asked to connect with an 18 year old boy from Maharashtra in July he had several issues with parents a very soft personality. I was asked to have a conversation with Mridul by a close family member , The background given was that he is in depression and was not interested in going to college as his self esteem was very low as he was not able to speak english. His father is an officer , alcoholic but was rarely around due to his transferable work. Mother a house wife but extremely dissatisfied in married life and quite superstitious and lots of fights between the son and mother.

I scheduled a video call with Mridul so that he could open up about his issues. As we saw each other on Video there he was smiling in front of me , he was expecting a very senior lady but seeing me smile he gave a huge smile in return ,I complimented Mridul for his smile and we burst into a laugh he was a bit hesitant and said  ‘Didi Mujhe Bohot Gussa Aata hai’ (I Get Very Angry) and then I end up resenting the outcome of my anger… and we continued with our session I found him hesitant to divulge about his life initially but gradually it was a good session.

After we concluded the session I was reviewing our talk and was reflecting , children nowadays have a lot to deal with at an early age. With parents not being available, rise in divorce rates, issues with self image and confidence, fear of rejection, handling expectations and lots of competition. Children nowadays do not have the emotional cushion, when they are hit by harsh realities they do not have the strength to cope and their life is scattered.

I remembered a talk I attended in 2015 where Sadhguru was emphasising how the youth will need to be brought up consciously because they have access to all kind of information today , they also have access to means (money and resources) they can either make themselves up or will fall prey to drugs, pornography, addiction and depression causing nuisance in family and society and once they realise their mistakes can also commit suicide for lack of sense of self worth and purpose.

After the session we could only connect on watsapp , in September when I messaged him I got to know his father was ill and he was in hospital, last message I received in October on Dushera and he replied with a smiley. I left for my vacation and had not heard from him in a month… Yesterday morning I got a message that Mridul committed suicide. I was really struck and was resenting again and again I should have called him up….the only question haunted me WHY… WHY YOU DID THIS??

Your Life is THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF LIFE , the most amazing phenomena happening now! No person , no situation, no event is worthy enough of ending this life. When you allow life to flow through you , you are playing an important part in the web of the COSMOS.

THIS BLOG IS DEDICATED TO ALL THOSE PRECIOUS SOULS
WHO HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN TO END THEIR OWN LIVES AND TO
THOSE WHO ARE STILL WITH US BUT STRUGGLING WITH DARK AND DEPRESSIVE THOUGHTS AND CONTEMPLATING SUICIDE.

MAY THEY ALL FIND A REASON TO LIVE.

Suicide is actually the greatest living crimes one can commit.

Here is why:

Your Body Is Sacred , The body is the only means through which the spirit or the soul finds expression in the material world. It is our responsibility to take care of this body given to us by our parents and ensure we use it to the fullest potential. When we commit suicide we are only ending the body but the spirit lives and has to wait in the astral world for the time you were meant to live. This is a painful process because without the body , the soul cannot experience time and this wait seems to be like several 100 years. As the carnal desires of the soul were still not fulfilled and its existence was ended abruptly the soul longs to experience them but fails miserably. This is similar to living in hell , the soul goes through immense remorse and wait in the astral plane.

Although it seems an end of suffering , it actually is a beginning of far more greater misery and remorse. Ignorance is not a bliss , when we see such events in life our duty for becoming responsible and conscious parents increases manifold.

Unless we lay a strong foundation of character building and virtues for our children by practicing and living the teachings ourselves it will be very difficult to expect them to follow. A better world can only be created by our actions, words and thoughts.

This is my message to everyone out there who are thinking of committing suicide rethink about the potential of life which is reverberating within you. You are VALUABLE!!

Love Sargam!

Reference article “Suicide Is Not Death,” William Q. Judge (a close colleague of H.P. Blavatsky and co-founder with her of the Theosophical Society) expressed the matter like this:

“The fate of the suicide is horrible in general. He has cut himself off from his body by using mechanical means that affect the body, but cannot touch the real man. He then is projected into the astral world, for he has to live somewhere. There the remorseless law, which acts really for his good, compels him to wait until he can properly die. Naturally he must wait, half dead, the months or years which, in the order of nature, would have rolled over him before body and soul and spirit could rightly separate. He becomes a shade; he lives in purgatory, so to say, called by the Theosophist the “place of desire and passion,” or “Kama-Loka.” He exists in the astral realm entirely, eaten up by his own thoughts. Continually repeating in vivid thoughts the act by which he tried to stop his life’s pilgrimage, he at the same time sees the people and the place he left, but is not able to communicate with any one …”

Healing Depression – Mind Body and Soul Healing

Standard

Sargam Mishra Depression Healing Pranic Healing.png

Depression I heard this word when I was a small child one of our close relative was visiting a psychiatrist regularly as she was being treated for depression. As a child I understood when people are really really sad they get this ailment called “Depression” I could not understand then how the elders could be so sad they had to go to a doctor.Me and my sister every night used to get scolded because we used to burst into laughter  while discussing our day sometimes a friend’s parent behavior sometimes we used to mimic our school teachers and then just end up rolling on the bed. Every night the house use to echo of giggles and laughs sometimes it  was for no reason just by seeing each other we could pass on the currents of mischief and burst in laughter. As children smiling and laughing is our natural state however when one grows up we start looking for reasons for being happy and depend on others for making us happy. So instant of the constant “Happiness” becomes a variable having dependencies on people and situations and when there is a dependency then there are rejections, failures, heartbreaks, sorrows and sadness giving depression an entry into our lives.

A study by the Government of India shows that one out of every five Indians is suffering from a mental disorder. In fact, that places every family at severe risk of multiple issues such as chronic depression, suicidal tendencies and work related stress. 50 per cent of corporate India is under chronic stress with 30 per cent having problems such as addiction and marital discord, and 20 per cent suffering from depression. That effectively means that a rise in depression is a very real threat that could affect the country’s denizens and economy over a period of time.According to the World Health Organisation report in 2011, one out of seven people in India i.e 15 per cent of Indian population was depressed and in 2015, one out of five people in India i.e 20 per cent of Indian population is depressed that showcases an alarming increase in rates of depression by five per cent of the population in just a span of four years putting us all in grave situation.

Source: 26,00,00,000 Indians suffer from mental health disorders –

These are alarming figures with nearly 1 in every 5 person going through a mental health disorder. Earlier the government and also the people never took Depression as a serious ailment but today it has come up in such a big way that no way we can escape from it. Now people are talking openly about it just like the heart ailments. As a Pranic Healer I have been working with several patients going through anxiety and depression and as I understand this is not something that can be worked only at a body or mind level it has to do with Body Mind and Soul healing.

There’s no one proven way that people recover from depression, and it’s different for everyone. However, today there are a range of treatments and health professionals who can be of help. The main medical treatment for depression is antidepressant medication. while there is no simple explanation as to how it works, i have found most of my clients on heavy dose of antidepressants leading to slower metabolism and too much lethargy and sleep.

Psychological treatments (also known as talking therapies) can help you change your thinking patterns and improve your coping skills so you’re better equipped to deal with life’s stresses and conflicts. There are several types of effective psychological treatments for depression, as well as different delivery options. Some people prefer to work one on one with a professional, while others get more out of a group environment. A growing number of online programs, or e-therapies, are also available. These therapies can help but it needs to be coupled with an inner transformation “If you are causing depression to yourself, it means you are able to generate a substantial amount of intense emotions and thoughts, but in the wrong direction. If you don’t have very strong emotions or very intense thoughts about something, you cannot get depressed. It is just that you are generating thoughts and emotions that work against you, not for you. So you are strong enough to cause depression to yourself.” Sadhguru

So if you understand one simple thing that whatever thoughts and emotions you create if they are not adding to your well being and are not helping you feel better you need to drop them. This can be done by practicing mindfulness in daily life. When a person starts living life either in the past or in the future then it is a sure shot way of creating stress and anxiety in life.

Pranic Healing quickly removes stress, anxiety, depression and fears by cleansing the energy field that surrounds the body. The word “Prana” in Pranic Healing, is another name for our “Vital life force Energy”, and our thoughts and emotions can affect this “Vital energy” keeping us well balanced and in good health, or making us ill.

The practitioners job is to re balance, harmonize and strengthen our body’s energetic defense system. It is well known by Holistic Healing Practitioners that physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual imbalances start in the energy field.

Now if our energy field which surrounds the body is healthy, it can offer us protection from negativity in our life, which over time can cause us to become unwell at any level, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

So how does it work?

In the healing session the practitioner will cleanse the negative used up energy, which has blocked or depleted your energy field. After the body has been “Cleansed” it is then “Energised” the affected organs, Chakras, or the injured or diseased part , re balancing and strengthening your body’s energetic defense system,This allows the natural healing process to take place.

In addition to receiving Pranic Psychotherapy sessions, it is suggested that clients who are healing from depression should also incorporate the following (this will greatly accelerate your healing process):

1. Meditation on Twin Hearts with Psychological Healing.  Do you have 30 minutes a day to bless the earth and receive psychological healing? Pranic Healing Founder, Master Choa Kok Sui states that this meditation is an ‘anti-depressant’, and has many beneficial effects. All you have to do is sit and receive. (1)

2. Service. Is there a way you can give back to your community? Is there a group or charity that you would like to support? When we give – we receive. In Pranic Healing we recommend 3-4 hours of service a week. This will help offset any troubles or ‘rough patches’ in one’s life allowing for healing and greater harmony. It may happen immediately; it may take some time. Continue to do weekly service as long as you can. Do not give up or procrastinate.

3. How depleted has the body been? If severe, then the energy body really needs to be recharged (this will strengthen the physical body). Here are a few tips:

a) Stand outside for a few moments, form the intent to absorb the healing prana or energy from the Sun. Please note: this is very powerful and should only be done once a week for 10 minutes max.

b) Do you have trees close by? If so rest, read, meditate under the trees. Trees give off an excess amount of prana. You can recharge greatly by spending time amongst them.

c) Find Chinese or Korean ginseng. This is extremely recharging. The effects of the ginseng can last up to 8 hours. Make sure you get good quality ginseng. If you have taken Level 1 Pranic Healing, scan the ginseng to see which has the most prana. (2)

4. Increase your will power and exercise! I’ve talked many times about the benefit of physical exercise in this blog so I’ll just touch on it briefly. When we experience depression, we need to do lots of physical exercise to flush out the negative energy. Find a style of exercise that you will enjoy and do it regularly.

5. Lavender Salt baths. 2 cups salt with 10 drops of Lavender oil in water. Soak for 20 minutes, rinse off. Repeat several times a week. *Use normal table salt, sea salt, dead sea salt, as it has the needed energetic properties for this type of healing.

Healing The Inner Child – Energy Approach

Standard

sargam-and-samaira

“Your children will reflect your own shadows and unhealed inner child. It is important to heal your inner child to live a fulfilling life and raise happy and loving children”

Sargam Mishra

The first 6 years of a child’s life is of utmost significance because they pick up their belief systems from their primary caregivers and by silently observing their environment. So you can say a child develops the psychological blueprint during the initial 6 years of life and it determines the emotional response of the child for the rest of life. The child develops the capabilities of handling life situations and also develops a sense of self during these initial years. The foundation of ‘self confidence, self worth , good self image and emotional well being are all laid during this time. It is said that children do not learn what they are taught instead they learn by observing how the parents deal with their own life and situations. The behavior of the primary caregivers (parents) with the child determines how he or she perceives the world. The relationship with our parents and caretakers  and their relationships with each other is the single most important connection a child establishes. This also transforms into their definition of LOVE. This is what they seek out in their intimate relationships once they grow up. Based on these belief they start creating their reality and manifesting people and situations in life.

I am inspired to write this blog specially after  the super successful one on one sessions during the 21 Days of Prosperity Healing event with participation from 5 Countries and nearly 15 cities within India it was such a pleasure and privilege to be with a group of 80 amazing people from varied walks of life.

The event has several worth sharing experiences but the most beautiful part of this event was the one to one connect for healing blockages/inner child healing sessions , the healing sessions were conducted over call due to people being in different time zones my calendar was blocked from morning till late evening for one week. This was a 30-45 minute connect which started as an initiative to work on the prosperity blocks but once we connected I got the opportunity to work on various aspects of life  where participants gave me permission to work with their baby self and shared the broken parts of their life. It has been one of the most enriching Healing Event of my life and I am so grateful to the participants for sharing their life with me. During the healing sessions I could understand how people were continuously creating same scenarios in their life either in their work life, personal life and intimate relationships mirroring their early upbringing and .

I had earlier written on the same subject as “Parenting Our Emotional Self ” with a beautiful do it yourself practice by Thich Naht Hahn which many of you loved. Please find the link Parenting Our Emotional Self if you want to read it. However as I do more and more healing and grow and evolve myself my understanding of life and techniques of healing also evolve. Here I am describing few of my amazing healing sessions conducted recently. I will be adding this to my offering so feel free to book an appointment and experience the Inner Child Healing.

Inner Child Healing – Book an Appointment

I got the opportunity to use Pranic Healing along with Psychotherapy and Inner Child Healing during these sessions. My first session was with a lady who is a senior healer and spiritual practitioner herself the healing was related with her long term physical problem and she wanted help healing any energy imbalance/block related to it. We started the process and in 30-45 minutes of healing and consultation there was a shift in the pain associated with the problem she was able to feel a connect with her own being and we could identify the root cause of the issue which was related to an unhealed aspect of her past. Her testimonial was beautiful and then I got more requests for doing the one on one sessions. In 6 days I connected with nearly 55 people and use the same methodology and the results were superb.

Another amazing healing was done with a lady who had been subjected to a traumatic childhood experience and was facing the shadows of it in her love relationships. When we started working on the block there was a lot of self worth issues and lack of self confidence once the session started and she was feeling in safe zone we started working on the inner child who was still living the same fear of her abusive childhood and unknowingly due to these fears she was manifesting people and situations that were mirroring more of this shadow aspect. In about 45-50 minutes of healing she could develop a bond with her inner child and understood that as she has abandoned the inner child within her she was experiencing a deep pain and loneliness in life. The pain and loneliness could not be fulfilled from external relationships as it was something she was creating within. I was so touched myself with the healing experience once we completed the healing and started with the affirmations there was so much love flowing from her that even I had tears in my eyes. These were tears of joy from both of us. The session ended with deep gratitude from my end to all the invisible helpers who were helping these healing through me.

Another beautiful session was conducted with a business man who was doing well in his life but wanted to be able to move ahead in life and be more successful financially,.The block he identified was procrastination. We had an interesting discussion around how and why people procrastinate even important decisions in life and then he opened up on his fear of losing money and also the mirroring of the attitude picked up from his primary caregiver (procrastination). He had a fear associated with business and failure as he had seen his father struggle with debt and bankers. The event happened nearly 40 years back but the emotional fear about losing money and the pain associated with it was still residing within him. He himself is a very passionate person but loses spark related to his business matters. Interesting conversations right..how people unconsciously live on borrowed beliefs for years.

Below are few more testimonials from the event and I am also adding the do it yourself technique for doing the inner child work. However when we work with a healer the ealer can results are more profound as the healer can help raise your vibrations quickly and can walk you through the dark areas of your past with ease and non judgement.

The Inner Child Healing Approach

  1. Center yourself

Sit in a quiet place where no one can disturb you for 30-45 minutes you can play some soothing music for 5-10 minutes and then take few deep breaths to normalize the heart beat and get in a rythm and harmony with your being. Once you are at ease imagine yourself to be connected with a huge source of energy (like an ocean of golden light)on the top of your crown chakra (top of head) and imagine roots of light connecting you to mother earth. This is your circuit. Now breathe in through this source of energy and when you breathe out just imagine your body relax and all your subtle bodies(aura) expand. This exercise can be practice anytime to relax do it for 30-45 seconds till you feel at ease.

  2. Identify the block (habit/pattern/psychological issue) that you want to work on

The first step is to identify the block you want to work on this can be identified as a trigger that causes you to breakdown in tough situations. A self sabotaging belief that constantly tells you “You are not….Enough”. A habit or pattern in life which is no more adding value to your life.

  3. Understand the emotion attached to this block (habit/pattern/psychological issue) identified in Step

This step helps you to identify the underlying emotional response of your system this may be accompanied with a discomfort in the physical body like a sensation in the stomach (anxiety) a feeling of block in the back heart, front heart (sadness, fear of being lonely) or anger resentment felt near the solar plexus area.

Once you have experienced the emotion/feeling be with it for sometime so that you are aware of it.

    4. Step 4 is where everything begins to change! Meeting your Inner Child

Once you understand the emotion and have been with it for sometime just go down the memory lane and remember the times when you have felt the same. The reason would have been different but feeling and emotions just the same. So for example a feeling of being rejected post a breakup can feel the same painful as when you parents rejected you because they were expecting you to behave in a particular way. This could be the early memories where you picked up the emotional response.

Now picture yourself as a small child and re experience the event and show compassion to this inner child who has had first experience with the feeling and does not like being in this situation. Try to hold this baby self in the same way a mother/parent holds a newborn baby. Picture the image of your pained baby self imagine wrapping him/her in a warm blanket, being held with very loving care closely to your heart, your chest, as you extend it very sincere compassion from your heart center.Just be with this baby self till you feel safe and secure with your own baby self.

5. Taking your Inner Child to a Safe Zone

Once you feel secure and connected with your baby self  after the step 4. mentally (or verbally) say to the baby self I that you have grown up and are capable of taking of this inner child within you. There is no need to seek approval , seek love outside instead you are there to nurture your baby self from all that was deprived and ensure that life is going to be all about following your joy. and you promise to care and be with it whenever you feel your inner child is throwing tantrums.

Pranic Healing techniques like cutting the Emotional Cords people and situations helps a great deal in shutting the source of issue. MCKS Forgiveness technique make this process even more effective.

Relationship Vows and Woes (Promiscuity/Infidelity Vs Committed Relationship)

Standard

Relationship Vows and Woes Sargam Mishra
Very often, we find that two people who come together out of love grow apart as the years go by in a relationship. People who had vowed to be together or were committed to be in a relationship for a lifetime are seen thinking or acting out on exploring options in life. I have been wondering over this for years as I myself have been in a long committed relationship for nearly 15 years now and completing my 8th year of marriage. Trust me it was never easy as we both evolved through our relationship and walked our own life paths. Life brought up different situations and lessons to be handled from shades of greys to white. In today’s world 15 years with a single person does seem a long time :). With my own sweet and sour experience of this one relationship I end up being a Relationship Counsellor and Healer . Now the situation is nearly every day I am either observing or participating in relationship set ups and philosophies of my friends and clients.

I still have my moments of doubts on what is right or what is wrong ? Many a times I have noticed that it is hard to counsel people as they have such justifications for all the mess in their life due to relationships. Many of my friends/clients are still single even after being in several relationships one after the other , while some are married but have their own philosophies on marriage and promiscuity/emotional affairs etc. Still there are these lifetime vows that a couple takes during the marriage ceremonies ..till death do us apart and ends up breaking them sometimes within few months.

Today, we are living in a culture where it is not necessary that we have lived with one partner all our life. Things have changed over the time. A partner comes with an expiry date. When one gets in a relationship we think it is going to last forever, but within three months we start questioning our decision and think, “Oh, why the hell am I with this person?”

24 by 7 relationships are under scrutiny, they are being judged based on what you like about the relationship /partner and what you dislike. This constant evaluation restricts us from experiencing the person as he or she is. Instead we are always in the mode of analyzing how he or she could be better by suiting our requirements (Likes and Dislikes). Because of this, it is always off and on, off and on. When a relationship goes through so much internal scrutiny it cannot last long. This gives rise to promiscuity, adultery, emotional affairs and multiple partners causing enormous pain and suffering, which is totally unnecessary. I was in Greece when my husband was sharing that even in Greek culture people marry for having good quality kids so the parents look for the best match. In the Hindu system till date we have arrange marriages based on horoscope matching , however it is changing gradually. From love marriages being arranged to acceptance of love marriages and now even live in setup we are gradually accepting the changes. So we are catching up with the West 🙂

I have met several people in situations during counselling sessions and in my personal life where I was face to face with the question as to why should one limit one self to a long and boring monogamous relationship when one can have sex or be emotionally attached with multiple partners, a few nights here, a few weeks there, over and over again? We see others having a great time in such a set up and some just blame it all on God 🙂 if it was not suppose to be it would not have been.

Now if we can understand God and the humongous responsibility of billions of people on Earth and then several others on other planets and who knows many galaxies. He must be too busy to schedule and plan multiple relationships in your life. I am sure he has better things to do. So this is something you are creating based on your choice which is driven by your needs and your character (evolved over a period of time). In Spiritual world the sex energy is the source of all creation, it helps in awakening Kundalini and is a gateway to yoga of highest kind. However considering the slow evolution of the human being it was used and abused to satisfy the lower nature (animal instincts) of human being. Now if we understand energy anytime you interact closely with any person you experience entanglement of your energy. If you do this exercise of falling in and out of love too often, if you go on playing around with too many people, after some time you will become numb, you do not like anybody because your emotions and the response of your body to these emotions is numb.

Remember how easy it is to remember an exclusive experience? Your first kiss or your first date but when you are with several people then your mind will be constantly comparing all the experiences. This subtle energy entanglement or entanglement of physical, emotional and mental bodies is called Runanubandha or entanglement.

Recently I met a lady (50 years old) married having a 21 year old kid she had undergone a surgery,  a major surgery and she was confiding how she was having the memories of the beautiful time spent with her boyfriend before marriage. She was feeling extremely guilty as she could not understand why were these thoughts haunting her after more than 30 years of her marriage. She approached me to help her come out of this guilt and help erase these feelings from her energy body using healing. As a Pranic Healer it was an interesting assignment for me but again it made me think how every cell in our body is designed to store memory. A single cell knows where it has to be placed in the body ; it knows whether it will grow as a tooth or a an organ or help build the bone. This was phenomenal aha moment for me. So if like me you thought the brain is the mind it is not. Brain is just a part of the body. Mind is a combination of memory and intelligence. The body has far more memory than the brain and this is the basis of genetics. Your body still actively remembers what happened a million years ago. Genetics is just memory. So today if my eyes look like my great grand mom this is because of the memory stored within my genes in the body. In Indian culture, this physical memory is called runanu bandha. It is our memory that binds us to things around us.

An interesting video by Sadhguru on Mind

An interesting example is given by Sadhguru

“Suppose you went home and you forgot who your father and mother are, what would you do? It is not the blood or the love, it is the memory that tells you this person is your mother or father. It is only memory that breeds relationship and bondage. If you lose your memory, anyone will look like an absolute stranger to you.”

When people have sex with each other, the mind may forget it, but the body will never forget. If you get a divorce, no matter how much you hate your spouse – still you will go through pain because the physical memory can never be lost.

Even if you just hold someone’s hand intimately enough for a certain period of time, this will never be forgotten, because your palms and your soles are very effective receptors. It is best to limit intimacy to the minimum. Today so many of us are driven to find true purpose of our lives, we want to meditate and gain more than just money and fame.Imagine if your energies are so entangled you are no longer you. You are an accumulation of energy from various sources some you have no idea about. This was the idea for having a committed relationship. The body needs stable memory – people feel this. Their spouse may not be physically great or intellectually great, they may be quarreling on the surface, but still they would sacrifice anything to be with them, because somewhere, they understand that this gives them maximum comfort and wellbeing. This is because your physical memory rules your life much, much more than your mental memory. The very way you are right now is ruled by your physical memory, not by your mental memory.

That is why monogamy is still preferred, unless one of them dies and the other one remarries. But now, before you are 25, you had 25 partners – people are already paying the price for that – 10% of the population in the United States is on antidepressants. One major contributing factor is they do not know where they belong, because the body is confused.

More insights on erasing the physical memory can be found:

http://www.ishafoundation.org/blog/lifestyle/relationships/exclusive-committed-relationship/

After a lot of reflection the only thing that I could conclude was that there is nothing as right or wrong it is a choice. “So have I committed a sin by being promiscuous? Being in a committed relationship will I go to heaven? Or have a super happy life?? It is not on that level. Every action has a consequence. This is not a moralistic reality; it is a certain existential process. If you do certain things with your mind, certain consequences will come. If you do certain things with your body, certain consequences will come. The decision was and is always yours.

Lots of Love!

Inner Conversations – Greek Sojourn “Know Thyself”

Travel is a calling for me an inner invitation something I am unable to justify to myself and even my family. Our travel to Greece was nothing but a calling as many of you have appreciated our photos and I am sure are motivated to visit the country as well. The thought came to me last year August when I saw a picture of Santorini and decided to share on my FB cover with a title “Destination Next”. That year we did a trip to Europe (Swizz Paris n Uk) a pleasure trip totally and the plan for Greece was a dream. In September I went to Pune an annual trip with Delhi Arhatic practitioners to the GMCKS Ashram a beautiful and spiritual place. We had to create a vision board for 2015 and I ended up sticking a picture of a plane with a tag “vacation to Greece”

The Snapshots of the Beauty of Greece

beaches greek

I had no idea why I was so fascinated by the place, none of my friends had gone there and being a Mediterranean climate country my husband would not have agreed to travel with me in August (our annual vacation month). But there was no doubt in my mind about how it will materialize however soon the vision board was shelved on top of my Almirah and I got busy in business as usual.Later on in Feb 2015 I started searching more on the sacred sites in Greece and I was fascinated to see there was so much mythology and culture in this country. I ended up finding more and more interesting reasons for visiting Greece and the thought became powerful. I booked our tickets for August 2015 knowing it will be hot and peak season for tourists , I just went ahead with my bookings following my heart. This year June -July Greece was going through economic crisis, strikes and unrest and our families were very concerned of our trip they even pushed us to cancel the bookings. However in my heart I was sure all will be well as it is not my plan and  it is being worked by someone who knows it better than me :).

During the July full moon meditation a thought was absorbed that I need to conduct a group meditation session and bless the country of Greece using the Universal Prayer The Great Invocation and the timing was actually perfect as I had to travel on 3rd August and I ended up starting a 21 Day Prosperity Healing Event 12th Jul – 1st August and was guided to use the The Great Invocation prayer to bless Greece for financial stability and safety of its people. I had no idea that a dream a year back will actually have an elaborate plan to it and I will be an instrument for blessing this country and encouraging so many to do the same. It is very difficult to share these coincidences with anyone but I am sharing because so many of us get these callings but not sure if we are able to search for deeper meanings.

Adding to all the surprises I was also expecting around 4th month and my husband was really concerned if I could travel and do so much of site seeing but fingers crossed the plan was intact and we landed in Greece.I did keep asking myself why me? and why now? waiting for my answers as I was not sure why am I doing this?  My itinerary though was a mix of pleasure, luxury, pampering and quality time together it also had a higher agenda of visiting Delphi; a 4 hour drive from Athens one way ;one of the most hectic site seeing tour considering my swollen feet and a hot sunny day it was our last site seeing tour.

The Temple of Oracle of Apollo

Oracle of Apollo

About Delphi:

One hundred miles northwest of Athens, soaring high above the Gulf of Corinth, stands the holy mountain called Parnassus. Nestled amidst the pine forested slopes and rocky crags of the sacred peak are the beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved ruins of Delphi. A city of wondrous artistic achievements and grand athletic spectacles during the flowering of Greek culture in the first millennium BC, Delphi is best known, however, as the supreme oracle site of the ancient Mediterranean world.Delphi was considered the center of the earth by many ancient Greeks.Delphi, is also known as the ”centre of awareness” .

An omphalos is a powerful symbolic artifact made from stone. Considered the ‘navel of the world’, the central point from which terrestrial life originated, an omphalos was an object of Hellenic religious symbolism believed to allow direct communication with the gods.

Apollo was the “god of oracles,” One of his most celebrated temple is found at the Greek site of Delphi, seat of his famous oracle. The Greek god of the sun and oracles, Apollo, possesses important attributes in common with the Jewish savior Jesus, including his status as the son of God. As Jesus was titled “the Christ” or Christos, so too was Apollo purportedly styled Chrēstos, chrestos appears to have been the title of  “perfected saints” in various mystery schools or brotherhoods, associated with oracular activity in particular. Apollo was the god of oracles, and was supposed to impart the gifts of healing and divination.

My experience of the Site: Our guide gave us a 30 minute introduction of the site which was a lot of theory including details of mythological stories about Pythia the Oracle of Delphi. However I just wanted sometime alone to experience the place energetically to connect with all the great souls that walked the same land and breathed the same air. It is really exciting to imagine one self being present in the same era it is actually an awesome realization.

Sadhguru a mystic of our times visited this site and had something interesting to share too here is a video clip from Delphi:

Finally after some time there was time to meditate with the Oracle of Delphi and ask for guidance 🙂 from the Oracles. I think it was the only reason for being in Delphi. One phrase that was echoing during the meditation was KNOW THYSELF. Later on when I tried finding more about it I came to know this is the best known Delphic injunction and it was carved into the lintel at the Temple of Apollo: GNOTHI SEAUTON, meaning Know Thyself.

“These words may have originated in Apollo’s response to a question Chilon of Sparta asked: “What is best for man?” The reply, “Know thyself,” is similar to the one believed to have been given to the Lydian king, Croesus, when he was told that he must know himself if he would live most happily.”

GNOTHI SEAUTON, Know Thyself and I somehow knew this was the message I had to take with me as a gift from Greece, something that I should write about and remind myself and others that the best way of living our life is by knowing our own self rather than spending days, months and even our life understanding things outside of us. There is a whole universe of knowledge within us we just need to connect with our self.

At this point of time when our Planet Earth is going through a transition all she needs is more and more people who can help her in this transition…. The rise in collective consciousness with the help of ascended masters n spiritual teachers is no coincidence. Most of us who are balancing the act of our lives managing our inner calling with the material responsibilities understand how we are being gently guided in taking up responsibilities which we had never thought of … Whether it is about contributing in encouraging people to connect to their own higher self or by using ourselves as instruments in charging the Earth centers by visiting the places that call us. It is beautiful to know you are not alone in this journey but there are many who are inspired to follow their calling at this point in time.
When you get a calling to visit a place listen to it.

Life is all about the Choices You Make

“Life is all about the choices we make “

I am sure we all have heard it many a times ???So have I but this is a very profound statement. In life when you have made a decision causing sad repercussions and after effects that are beyond our control we end up looking for people and situations to use as a reason.

Let me take an example from a recent case of emotional infidelity between a couple. During a relationship counselling  I was speaking to the husband and he was explaining that there is a reason why a spouse cheats on his partner. There is always a reason for taking up any step in life. The thing I really enjoy about counselling is that every person has his own philosophy of life 🙂 They will have their own carefully thought logic to every situation in their life. So according to him a partner should be capable enough to hold the attention of the spouse to ensure the marriage is affair proof. This made the husband feel less guilty because according to him it was just a way to find solace and love in his life which he was missing miserably.

To understand a relationship one has to listen to both the parties as every person has a story to tell from their individual vantage point in life. The woman to not be able to provide the required emotional support in marriage she had her own reasons a list of issues with the husband and his family. While speaking to her , I realized that in life there is nothing as right or wrong it is just a perception. Most of the times couples look life from their own perspective their own likes and dislikes, judgement of each other and they make a choice or decision based on it. Today as each one of us is independent we are capable of making our own choices based on our likes and dislikes. Most of our issues in life are based on the inbuilt mechanism of judgement within us due to social and religious programming.

The social systems train you to create strong likes and dislikes about so many things. When you think you are in love with someone, you exaggerate all the good qualities in them. When you hate someone, you exaggerate all the bad qualities in them or invent some. You – as a person, not as a being – are who you are only because of your likes and dislikes. It is your likes and dislikes that determine your personality and distinguish you as a person.Your likes and dislikes are the basis of the falsehood that you have created in the form of your personality. If you stop clinging to them, your personality will vanish ‒ you will become flexible and wonderful.

At any point of time if we base our life decision on what is right instead of being driven by what I like or dislike the decision becomes a conscious choice. This is a big change in our personality; it will not happen in a day but if we make it a part of our day to day life to choose what is right and not base it on our likes and dislikes we can move towards spontaneous right action. This will also narrow down on the choices as well as the internal confusion on what decision to take at any cross road of life.

May your decisions be based upon what truly matters and works, not upon your likes and dislikes. ~ Sadhguru

So when you are standing on the cross roads of making a vital decision in life You can ask these two simple questions

1. What is the right thing for me to do based on the choice I make?

2. Will it give me and the people around me happiness?

These two small questions can help us in a great way. It helps us to ensure that the decisions that we are taking is not based on our judgement. If all life is made with the same life force then who are we to judge each other based on our own likes and dislikes. Our belief and ideology how a person should be is based on our social and physical conditioning and it is different for each one of us. If we keep imposing our own likes and dislikes over people we are trying to take away their individual unique self and instead trying to make our own clones.

If one makes the right choice, the right things will happen. If one makes the wrong choice, wrong things will happen. It is a very fair and just existence on this planet. If pain, suffering or misery happens to you, it is not time to look around. This is always the problem: If you are miserable, you think somebody else needs to be fixed. No. If you are miserable, what you call as “myself” needs to be fixed, not someone else.

The second question that we ask is will it bring happiness to me and to people around me? Why is it important to think about other’s happiness when the decision is related to me? As a conscious human we understand that the universe works on the “Law of Oneness” even though we want to assume we are alone and can live in a silo this is not how things are in the universe. It is a magnificent creation of God and so everything that we think we are doing to ourself impacts people around us vice versa. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction it is a universal law. It can also be called the “Law of Karma” what I do to others I do to myself.

Life is a gift if each one of us can live life consciously we can create a beautiful world. Today there is immense suffering in the world because each one of us is suffering internally. This internal suffering has to be dealt by doing what is right not for our sake but for the sake of the entire humanity. Each smiling and happy person is contributing to happier planet/world.

Lots of love to all of you
