Desire THE Way To Enlightenment in 201X

Standard

Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
―Lao Tzu (Taoism)

Desire has been an interesting topic among spiritual enthusiast. As stated in the quote above most of the school of thoughts teach us to be free of all our desires to attain moksha. I have always been wondering why try so hard to not desire when it is easy to experience and let go. Let us try to understand what is Desire? The deeply ingrained tendencies of attachments and desire are often referred to by the English translation “earthly desires.” However, since they also include hatred, arrogance, distrust and fear, the translation “deluded impulses” may in some cases be more appropriate.

But can such desires and attachments really be eliminated? Attachments are, after all, natural human feelings, and desires are a vital and necessary aspect of life. The desire, for example, to protect oneself and one’s loved ones has been the inspiration for a wide range of advances–from the creation of supportive social groupings to the development of housing and heating. Likewise, the desire to understand humanity’s place in the cosmos has driven the development of philosophy, literature and religious thought. Desires are integral to who we are and who we seek to become.

In this sense, the elimination of all desire is neither possible nor, in fact, desirable. Were we to completely rid ourselves of desire, we would end up undermining our individual and collective will to live. Many of the spiritual gurus and holy texts emphasize on being completely free of desire to attain enlightenment , but if we were to think even the desire to not desire is also a desire 🙂

Desire is also a means of creation so if we were to understand, for e.g. when we give birth to a desire then we are introducing new possibilities of creation in the universe. The suffering is not from the desires but from the fact whether we will be able to fulfill the desires. When we start seeing our self incapable and non deserving of achieving our desires we suffer.

In other words, desire is not the cause of suffering; it is the opposite of suffering. Desire is what feels good. The truth is, desire is good. Desire is what keeps us going in life. It’s not getting stuff that makes us happy, it’s wanting stuff, hoping for stuff, dreaming of stuff – stuff like love, success, adventure, or meaning. Desire itself is the payoff!

Sure, sometimes we’re frustrated. Sometimes we get what we want, only to find out that it’s not as great as we thought. But to try to eliminate the central feature of a good human life just because of these stumbling blocks is to throw the baby out with the bathwater. These stumbling blocks are a necessary cost of leading a good human life.

I had this interesting conversation with a friend who just shared a perspective on desire, the happiness associated with the fulfillment of desire is temporary it goes away once a desire is fulfilled but what is even more long lasting is the happiness of having one less desire from the laundry list of desires we have…when we evolve spiritually the desires also under go transformation , so they are no longer deluded impulses but they become more service oriented, they are more towards larger good and oneness.Desires and attachments are then seen as fueling the quest for enlightenment.

The whole idea is to desire from a state of being complete, there is nothing in this universe that we do not deserve, whether it is health, happiness, abundance or even moksha, nirvana all that is ever there and all that will ever be is owned by each one of us it is just our own inhibitions and lack in self that keeps us away from it.

When you know that you lack nothing, that all there is, is you and yours, desire ceases.

―Nisargadatta Maharaj

Hindus talk about Atman, or your true Self, and say that “you are that”. Buddhists talk about suchness, or tathagata, and say that the nature of mind has no self. On the face of it they are saying the exact opposite, and yet it’s also been said that they are saying the exact same thing. It takes a lot of meditation and study to know why they are saying the same thing. Every thought movement you have is you. It is Buddha mind. When taught to meditate, you are taught to not push away thoughts – if you have a desire, don’t stop it – don’t push it away – just notice it. Anything that we resist is persists so whether it is our thoughts while meditation or our desires , if we will resist it they will occur again and again. You start by dis-identifying with it. By noticing it, it is no longer you. But later your awareness becomes more encompassing and it makes just as much sense to say that everything that occurs is you.

So once you understand that whatever you desire is there for you ; life is all about what is worth the desire 🙂 . You just need to be mindful in keeping your desires out to the universe as they will be fulfilled …. ‘The Secret’ ‘Law of Attraction’ ‘Synchronicity’ all are tools . You are a luminous light being and a master manifestor when you open your heart to your highest good there is nothing that will not show up in your reality.

Desire

Understanding Sciatica Pain – Emotional Causes and Pranic Healing Treatment

Standard

Sciatica, also called sciatic neuritis, is used to describe symptoms of pain, tingling, numbness and weakness that can radiate from the lower back all the way down to the foot.

These symptoms result from the compression or irritation of one of 5 nerve roots in the spine (sacral nerves S1, S2, or S3 or lumbar nerves L4 or L5) that connect and form the 2 sciatic nerves, or pinching or irritation of the sciatic nerve itself.

The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the body, and originates in the lumbar spine. It then runs down through the buttock area and continues along the back of the leg and branches off to the tibial and common fibular (peroneal) nerves down to the foot.

Sciatica pain pic pranic healingIn most cases, when a sciatic nerve is compressed only one side is affected with pain, although the pain may alternate from one side to the other. Occasionally, the pain is felt on both sides of the lower back and legs.

Although sciatica pain can be debilitating, most people who suffer from sciatica can find pain relief with non-surgical treatments .Treating the cause of the nerve compression is important to prevent sciatica pain from returning.

Symptoms of Sciatica

  • Pain, tingling or numbness that radiates through the lower back, buttocks, and down the back of the leg possibly as far as the foot
  • Pain starts slowly and worsens after standing, sitting, bending backward, walking or sleeping at night
  • Difficulty walking, bending and or sitting
  • Muscle weakness in the hip and/or leg

Emotional Causes

Now let us focus on the emotional causes or the though patterns associated with it. The person is overburden. Sciatic pain occurs in the lumbar area, like lumbago. This may be due to the fact that the person is attempting to portray an image of grandeur and diligence or because the person is proud, does not like to ask for help and believes he can take care of himself and does not need anyone else. Sciatic pain happens for the person to stop and examine his life.

The need to demonstrate grandeur results from a hidden feeling of inferiority. In fact, the person finds it extremely difficult to move away from old beliefs and habits. The need to be self-sufficient and not asking for help indicates pride, which also denotes difficulty in backing off from old beliefs and habits. Sciatic pain occurs mostly in the intervertebral discs, between L4 and L5, or between L5 and S1.

It is precisely in the lumbar area that tensions in the relationship with the partner are located, the same applying to affection, family, work and money, material things, the home, space and mobility, the place where one lives. Everything that represents the person’s roots.

The compression of the disks that sciatic pain represents, instead of leading to a person’s increased grandeur, rather leads to a literal physical shrinkage. The person often ends up with a bent back.

In Eastern medicine, sciatic is related to a problem in the gall bladder meridian. The gallbladder is an organ that facilitates digestion. It is a form of psychological assistance to digestion. The tension that the person feels at this stage is that of anger, resentment, and a taste of something that left a bitter tang.

Gall bladder related conditions indicate difficulty in managing problems, in getting situations clear. What is my place? Am I being given the right recognition? The person undergoes major anger fits, feels helpless, but will not express his feelings. For this reason, he will not expel the bile, keeping it in instead.

There is bitterness, disapproval, pride, hard, rigid thoughts, and self-inflicted violence. The person is excessively controlled and does not allow his life to flow.

From a practical viewpoint, sciatic pain is a trapped nerve in the lumbar area. Since nerves represent communication, sciatic pain denotes difficulty to communicate with someone at home or at work. It is important to start by examining which of the legs is affected.

Come Lets Return To Love

Standard

“Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. And think not you can direct the course of love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.”

– The Prophet Kahlil Gibran

Love is the most amazing human emotion and the most misinterpreted one as well . After a decade of falling in love and being married and hearing and sorting out marriages and love stories of friends my idea of love has evolved too. I  feel , possessiveness, sacrificing, worrying, over protectiveness, and expecting others to change is not love. As parents taking decision on kids behalf in the name of “I care and I know your good better” is not love. Deciding a child’s career or the right partner or even friends and not allowing the child to try his own will is not love. Forcing a child to compete , whether it is by saying see your friend eats much faster than you or he gets better grades is definitely not love.

Sargam Return to Love Quote

Every time someone does anything for us we label it as LOVE and when people do not fit in that label anymore we say they do not LOVE us. So What is actually LOVE? A new born child is a perfect example of what LOVE is ;it is just being the authentic self, no conditions attached. Whether he/she cries, gets cranky or has forced you into sleepless nights. The only thing you can do about it is enjoy its BEING , you still feed it, change its nappy and try to put it to sleep. And a smile on the toddler just makes your heart GROW. As parents most of our preconceived notions of love change so the equation of give and take just changes. We do not seek to change our baby but rather start appreciating the blessing the beauty it already is.

When I speak to couples going through relationship issues during counselling sessions the whole conversation revolves around ‘I thought he/she would change and adjust as per my needs, as per my family needs, she will sacrifice, compromise… Oh I married just because I thought he/she will grow up, be more responsible, work on her self’ etc etc etc….. there is a list of HOW I WISH …..  and that is the end of the relationship 🙂

During healing sessions projecting lots of love and affection towards the patient makes healing quicker. Sometimes I hear comments like no one has cared for me the way you do and I find it really sad to see that love is rare and may want to label through a relationship/friendship etc. There are no different kinds of LOVE believe me there is nothing like a child’s love, a mother’s love, god’s love , healer’s love ..  😛 LOVE is just LOVE. We just experience the depth of love being in all different roles .Love is tenderness of mother’s care, love is boyfriend’s hug, love is when a father hold her child’s hand while crossing the road, love is in mom’s food, friend’s care, silence after a kiss 🙂

If you are unable to find a deep intimate relationship in your life the reason is not because you are unable to find LOVE but your own distorted understanding of Love. Love is about the intimacy two individuals share from a space of total comfort. Where you allow the person to see through you; you do not force the person to see you the way you project but much more deep. So the elementary knowledge of love that we see in movies, in fairy tales does not work in real life real intimate love is more like a Ph D 😉

Love is not about idealizing the projected image of a partner or our own opinion and picture of them instead it is about going deep and exploring the real person he/she is and expressing appreciation and gratitude for this being. There is no person on this planet who is not worthy of love as we all are made in that essence.

As Marianne Williamson says” It is’nt the absence of people in our life that causes pain, but rather what we do with them when they’re there.”

So when we get a loving girlfriend , we forget our parents, when we get a beautiful wife we forget our friends , when we get women to have fun outside marriage we forget our wife……….so in reality we are never able to nourish any relationship and in the end we are ALONE.

You know why a search for love is endless?? As the love we seek is always there within us. So the day you have understood love, love will find you no matter where you are. Love can be beautifully understood from nature.

“And still, after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth, “You owe me.” Look what happens with love like that. It lights up the sky. – Rumi (Hafiz)

Great romantic relationships are based on intimacy and appreciation and by helping them access their highest . The fairy tale called “The Frog Prince” reveals a deep psychological connection between our attitudes towards people and their capacity for transformation. In the story, a princess kisses a frog and he becomes a prince. What this signifies is the miraculous power of love to create a context in which people naturally blossom into their highest potential. Neither nagging to get people to change, criticizing or fixing can do that.

frog prince

You can only understand people in life if you can love them. “What is not Loved is not Understood”  We hold our self separate and wait people to earn our love. But people deserve our love for what they were created to be and that is their Authentic Self. As long as we wait for them to be anything better, we will constantly be disappointed.

When we choose to approve and give pure love to people , the miracle kicks both ways – This is the key  – Love Sargam

4 Steps to Overcome The Ghosts of The Past

Standard

Sargam on PastWe create our own reality “Law of Attraction” is a supreme law which is applicable across dimensions unlike law of gravity that is very specific to a 3rd dimensional reality.”The Secret” beautifully illustrated this Law and it was talked about in great details by several renowned new age spiritual teachers. Wayne W Dyer the new age spiritual leader had given a beautiful explanation in an interview quoting him.

“First of all, I think the law of attraction has been misstated. You do not attract what you want. You attract what you are. That’s how the law of attraction works.

Twenty-five centuries ago in ancient China, Lao-tzu said there were four virtues. If you live them—if you live in a place of God-consciousness—the universe will give you God-consciousness. If you live in a place of ego-consciousness, though, the universe will give you more of that.

One virtue is reverence for all of life. You revere all life. You never kill, you never harm, you never wish harm, and you never have thoughts of harm directed toward yourself or others. Another virtue is natural sincerity, which is manifested as honesty. Just be honest with who you are. Don’t pretend to be something you’re not. Don’t be a phony. Walk your talk. That’s how God works, so doing it is emulating how Source works. The third virtue is gentleness, which manifests as kindness toward all others.

The fourth virtue, which is relevant here, is supportiveness. If you say to the universe, “Gimme, gimme, gimme,” which is what a lot of the work around the law of attraction says because of a misinterpretation, then the universe gives you back what you offered out. You get more “gimme, gimme, gimme.” “Gimme” means you don’t have enough. You have a shortage. The universe just keeps giving you more shortage because of what you’re thinking and saying.

If, on the other hand, you say to the universe again and again, “How may I serve? How may I serve? How may I serve?” and you live a life of constancy reflecting that principle, the universe will respond back, “How may I serve you?”

There can be several reasons why the Law of Attraction does not work in certain situations. The one main reason for not being in charge of creating our own reality is THE GHOSTS OF THE PASTS.….Prof Bruce Lipton in his book “Biology of Belief” highlighted that every cell in our body is a miniature human being in itself having its own brain, heart, respiratory system and reproductive system wondering ?? It is a beautiful impeccable system trust me 🙂

Each cell stores memories and programs of our past so imagine if while you were a toddler, you got hurt by a hot stove the painful memory associated with that event will always trigger. Same thing happens when we are in an abusive childhood or a painful relationship the hurt of the past is absorbed and stored and gradually as these memories get accumulated over 30-35 or even 60 years it becomes hard to break through these patterns.

We are unable to see the beauty of people instead we use the glasses of past to see them. This also interferes with the LOA the ghosts of the pasts keep visiting us and instead of creating what we want we end up manifesting what we worry about. Remember “Worrying works like a prayer for asking all that you do not want”

GHOSTS OF THE PAST

sargam ghost of the past

Law of Attraction is like standing in front of the mirror and reflecting our thoughts , so if you want money and your thoughts are about not being broke what you reflect to the mirror (universe) is being broke and you end up in a lack of finances.

Similarly when we want a beautiful body and we fuss over our over weight physique what we project to the universe is the image of a flabby figure and there you go , you have more flab 🙂

How to Overcome the Ghosts of the Past:

1. Let go of your past – Good Bad Ugly whatever has happened is done ; what you have today is a present so treat it with love and gratitude.

2. Take Ownership – You and only you are responsible for your life if you keep blaming others there can never be healing.

3. Forgive forgive forgive – There is no better therapy than the act of forgiveness how long do u want to carry the burden of your past??

4. Live in Gratitude  – Each one of us came with a unique purpose so be awake and aware ; be of service, be kind and live each moment of life like it was meant to be. Be conscious creators and create from the point of love and gratitude.

People who are complaining spend their lives complaining; people who are grateful spend their life being grateful  🙂

‘LOVE IS For Giving’ – ‘FORGIVENESS’ IN 5 STEPS

Standard
‘LOVE IS For Giving’ – ‘FORGIVENESS’ IN 5 STEPS

Psychosomatic illnesses and other disease are a result of holding a lot of pent up emotions within us. Most of us carry a lot of baggage from our past the hurt from relationships and emotional turmoil caused by others can still be felt as thorns in the heart. Some of us nurture these thoughts and emotions so as to keep the fire burning by holding on these memories and then feeling the pain in times of solitude.

Love Is Forgiving

We all love to be with people who are LOVING right? We want to fall in love with people who can reciprocate love. Our basic nature is LOVE when I say ours it includes each one of us. Each one of us craves to LOve and to LOVED any deviations from this state of being causes sadness/fear/anger. Let us understand if our state of being is Love then why do we have so much problems around? If we try to understand from other’s perspective then we realize that a person who is not in this state of being (Love) only can hurt others.

It is like this when we juice an orange what come out is an orange juice it cannot be bitter gourd juice right so a person who is dwindling in lower emotions only is capable of venting/transferring these bitter sour emotions on to others.

Sargam Energetic Cords

Energetic Cords

When we love a person or hate a person we are emotionally chained or binded 🙂 Yeah try it for yourself. When you love someone you can feel if the person is happy or sad as there is an energetic cord that is created between the two of you same applies with people you despise.

Now the person who is at the receiving end has two options either to understand this simple juicing comparison and let go… or hold a grudge and bind himself energetically with similar emotions and keep exchanging that bitter gourd juice forever … As the person whom you are connected with is full of those emotions.

When we choose not to let go, energetically all of the pent up negative thoughts and emotions especially anger and resentment get stuck in the back solar plexus chakra and affect the body, the chakras, meridians and cells, potentially causing a variety of physical and psychological ailments. In the recent past there has been an rapid increase in the mind-body medical research and studies that correlate negative emotions to health ailments like high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and back pain.

Many a times when we find these cords during the healing practice and discuss with the patient, we can see a resistance in letting go. These bonds of anger and resentments have been so strengthened with regular reflection on the bitter memories that it tends to become a part of them. It is like the thorn in foot people become so use to walking with it that it has pierced into deeper layers. Anger resentments and negative emotions are like rotten potatoes that you carry with you always where ever you go and you spread the fowl smell. 😛

I hope this blog will help you release resistance in forgiving ; forgiveness does not depend on the other person qualifying for your forgiveness instead it is about you being free of the emotional drain.

Here are 5 Easy ways and tips to help you be free and Forgive

1. Decide How Long do you want to be drained?

There are several layers of forgiveness just like peels of an onion, so one can keep a grudge for several lifetimes, some till the end of life, some for many years , others few months, where as there will be some smart people who will get over it in few days and even better ones in few hours/minutes. You can choose the level 🙂

2. Internal Forgiveness

At times due to certain lessons that we want the other person to learn we can chose to forgive within few minutes internally and release the anger from heart but maintain a distance in our day to day life. Based on the kind of mistake the other person has committed we can decide whether the forgiveness will be external or internal.

Internal forgiveness means that you will not harbor any negativity towards the other person and bless for his/her soul to evolve and mature.

BASED ON THE TEACHINGS OF MASTER CHOA KOK SUI, MODERN FOUNDER OF PRANIC HEALING AND ARHATIC YOGA
quote

“Inner forgiveness gives you the ability to grow, to be free,
and it also gives you the opportunity to generate positive
karma.Inner forgiveness is therapeutic. If you do not forgive
you cannot be internally healed. Forgiving heals the soul.”

– Grand Master Choa Kok Sui

3. External Forgiveness

For some people, inner forgiveness is enough. For others, the next layer of forgiveness is external forgiveness: choosing to move on and create a healthier relationship with the person who has hurt you. This level of forgiveness usually can only be achieved after inner forgiveness, and only if you decide to continue a relationship of some sort with that person. It is not as necessary as doing the work for inner forgiveness. Sometimes when we are able to let go of past hurts and traumas we are able to create better relationships.

4. Forgiveness Prayer

Forgiveness is not easy 🙂 I know it out of experience so we need to ask for the blessings for the ability and willingness to forgive and release. The understanding that we all are evolving and making mistakes, is a part of the evolution process will help in releasing our resistance to forgive. The How could he/she questions get answered.

Here is a short prayer that I use by Master Choa it really helps me and I am sure it will help you:

SAY,
“LORD, THANK YOU FOR BLESSING ME WITH THE ABILITY TO FORGIVE DEEPLY AND LET GO.
THANK YOU FOR BLESSING ME WITH A GENEROUS HEART and FORGIVING HEART”

YOU MAY REPEAT THIS MANY TIMES DURING THE DAY THE DAY FOR ADDITIONAL HELP.

UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS IN FORGIVING THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO RELEASE AND LET GO

VISUALIZE THE PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU; FOLD YOUR HANDS IN NAMASTE POSE
SILENTLY SAY,

ATMA, NAMASTE.
I THE SOUL SALUTE THE DIVINITY IN YOU.
I THE SOUL RECOGNIZE THE DIVINE SPARK IN YOU.
WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD.
WE ARE ALL EVOLVING.
WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES.
I FORGIVE YOU FOR ALL THE PAIN YOU HAVE GIVEN ME.
I NOW RELEASE YOU DEEPLY AND COMPLETELY ON ALL LEVELS.
GO IN PEACE.
MAY GOD’S PEACE
BE WITH ME
MAY GOD’S PEACE BE WITH YOU.
OM SHANTIH SHANTIH SHANTIH* OM

I FORGIVE MYSELF TOO, FOR ALL MY ERRORS, PAST MISTAKES AND OMISSIONS.
I NOW LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES. I RELEASE THE PAST.

PEACE TO ME.
AND TO EVERYONE CONNECTED WITH ME.
OM SHANTIH SHANTIH SHANTIH OM.

THE MEANING OF SHANTIH IS ACTUALLY ‘PEACE THAT IS BEYOND UNDERSTANDING’
WHEN YOU BLESS OTHERS WITH THAT, THAT IS WHAT YOU GET. BLESS THE UNIVERSE WITH IT, AND IT MULTIPLIES AND RETURNS TO YOU.

IMAGINE THAT THE OTHER PERSON IS OR WALKING AWAY FROM YOU.

PERSONAL NOTE.. WHAT WE ARE RELEASING IS THE HUGE LOAD OF ANGER AND RESENTMENT WE ARE CARRYING, WHICH IS HARMING OUR LIVES. THE OTHER PERSON IS LIVING RENT-FREE IN OUR MINDS.RELEASE THEM AND MAKE SPACE FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD PAY RENT —-(PAY IN LOVE AND AFFECTION).

THIS EXERCISE IS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING PEOPLE GET HEALED OF SERIOUS AND CHRONIC AILMENTS, FINANCIAL BLOCKAGES, RELATIONSHIP BLOCKAGES, PROGRESS BLOCKAGES. THE KEY IS TO DO THIS REGULARLY FOR SOME PERIOD OF TIME, AND TO DO IT SINCERELY, WITH YOUR HEART IN IT.

Tool Box for Mind – Mantras

Standard

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

the Indian spiritual scriptures “Vedas” speak about the divine sound current “Shabda Brahma” which permeates all and is a key to creation. The Mystical Sufi master Hazrat Inayat Khan has written “Divine sound is the cause of all Manifestation”. In the early part of twentieth century H.P Blavatsky founder of the Theosophical Society wrote in the “Secret Doctrine, Sound is a tremendous occult(hidden) power. In ‘Kabbalah’ jewish mystical tradition , the power of vowels is said to be divine. Zohar the major book of Kabbalah also speaks about the sounds that brought our physical universe into existence.

My Father is deeply connected with music and as a child I always experienced the magic of music Ragas and Ragini (Indian Classical Music). Recently on a visit to The Osho International Meditation Resort in Pune in March 2014 I was amazed to see how all his meditations were based on Sound and Powerful music. I am providing this information also because most of us love music ; the music we hear affects our emotional and mental well being so we should be very particular in choosing what we feed our senses.

Coming back to Mantras we all understand Nada Brahma 🙂 – The World is Sound. Mantra is a Sanskrit word literal meaning Mann (Mind) +Tra (tool) – Tool of Mind. The mystic Sufi Master “Vilayat Inayat Khan states “the practice of mantra actually kneads the flesh of the body with sound”

Mantra can help you feel more peaceful and energized as these are ‘Power Words. The Mantra in itself does not have a meaning but the vibration produced by repeating a mantra aligns our vibration to the vibrations of the cosmos. This itself gives a feeling of peace and harmony.

Lets do a small practical using the Mantra OM.“Om” (or Aum/Amen/Ameen) as the primordial sound, representing the infinite universal consciousness. Find a quiet place and sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and center your attention at the center of your heart, you can also tap your heart to focus. Now chant the mantra Om 11 times loudly and then internalize it for another 11 counts. Once you are done open your eyes and reflect on your experience.  Try this meditation everyday and reflect on your experience.

The experience with the Mantra is very unique for each of us and we have to experience it to understand. Here is a Meditation compiled by me using the Mantra “Aham Brahma Asmi” I am the Universe.

Mantras are also Chakra based sounds – Similarly each chakra has a specific vibration or primordial sound that we can repeat to release any energy that may be congested in that region. We can open up blocked energy by focusing our attention and intention on the location of a chakra, and repeating its associated sound or mantra aloud. The following is a list of the energy centers and their corresponding vibrational sounds:

Tuning Chakras - Sargam

The practice of sound healing is referred to as chakra tuning and helps heal the body and enliven the energy centers.

When we combine a Mantra with Intention it adds on to its physical and spiritual benefit. As this helps to combine the sound energy with the power of intentions increasing the energetic effect of the Mantra.

So for example if we take the Mantra for throat Chakra “Ham” and use the intention I communicate with ease also visualize the throat chakra being bathed in liquid white light, it strengthens the throat chakra more as compared to just saying the mantra.

We are made up of life force Prana and Mantras help energize the Prana so when we visualize the organ or chakra being filled with Prana it helps heal that specific part of the body.

Mantras help to raise our vibrations once we understand energy we will be able to appreciate this science which the ancient rishis and sages left for us to benefit. In order to transform our lives the only thing we need to do is raise our own vibrations, prosperity , abundance, love and peace can be attained only if we stay in a state of high vibration.Mantra have been used for thousand of years and hence are very very powerful tools provided through ancient wisdom.

Sound Healing and Mantras are a very vast subject in itself but for now try out and share your experiences with me. While writing I myself worked on tuning my Throat Chakra 🙂

Here is a list of Some Powerful Mantras:

1. Om (Multipurpose Mantra)

2. Om Namah Shivaya Om (Disintegrating Negative Energies and Thought Forms)

3. Gayatri Mantra (Spiritual Development)

4. Om Shrim Mahalakshmiyei Swaha  (Properity and Abundance)

5. Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Se So Hum (Universal Healing Mantra)

6. Om Mani Padme Hum (Mantra For Universal Well Being)

7. Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo (Mantra for Universal Enlightenment)

Pain in the Neck – Understanding Cervical Issues

Standard

Going forward I will be writing blogs from my healing experiences on common ailments as I feel this will be very useful for people who want to avoid modern medication and doctor’s visit 🙂 or just lessen them. I love to take up energetic healing sessions however with my corporate job at times it is tough to accommodate them 🙂 but some clients are just meant to be healed.

I am writing about an interesting case of cervical issue. Cervical vertebrae are the seven vertebrae that help in flexing our neck and they act as a bridge between the body and the head area. The cervical vertebra protects the cervical nerves which control certain areas of the head, neck and upper back, including the arms and hands.

Please refer to my blog “Understanding your back pain” for the body mapping of the cervical nerves. Now Let us understand the neck and shoulder from an energetic perspective: Image Let us understand the Neck and Shoulder and see is there a behavioral and psychological Connection? As we all know that shoulder are synonymous with responsibilities. We see this mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Try carrying something with your hands and walk around, where would you put the weight that you carry so you don’t feel so heavy carrying it? Many people would place it on their shoulder. How about neck? Physically neck is use to change view from one point to another, from right to left, from bottom to up, north to south and east to west. Spiritually, neck is use for same purpose too. At the higher level of our being, neck would be used to change view from a point of life to another point of life. When we are stuck up in life due to our narrow perspective or we avoid looking around and avoid change , being clairvoyant one can see stuck up energy around the neck area. This blockage in energy starts affecting the alignment of the cervical vertebra and may cause:

  • Cervical Sprain / Strain
  • Cervical Disc Herniation
  • Nerve Impingement (Cervical Radiculopathy)
  • Muscle Spasm
  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Arthritis

Most of the physical problems are symptoms of the psychological cause in the case of cervical (C1-C7) one of the major reasons is stress that is due to our responsibilities as for most of us our job is helping in carrying our responsibilities for our family and other commitments in life. Here is what Louise Hay says about Neck and Shoulder pain:

Neck – refusing to see other sides of the question, stubbornness, inflexibility

Shoulders – represent our ability to carry our experiences in our life joyously, we make life a burden by our attitude. Once we know the emotional causes it is easy to understand that physical issues are mere symptoms but the real cause are mostly psychological in nature. As a Pranic Healer a week of healing helps align the vertebra and ease cervical pain (the duration may vary from healer to healer and also receptivity of patient). Alternative Su Jok therapy is also found useful.

When There is No Way Out ; There is Always a Way Through -Over Coming FEAR

Standard

“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.” — Mark Twain

Sargam on Fear Quote

“Fear is an emotion induced by a threat perceived by living entities, which causes a change in brain and organ function and ultimately a change in behavior, such as running away, hiding or freezing from traumatic events. The fear response arises from the perception of danger leading to confrontation with or escape from/avoiding the threat (also known as the fight-or-flight response), which in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) can be a freeze response or paralysis.” – Wikipedia

That is a a big definition 🙂  phew..  However we all understand this word through our own experience. Fear, Anxiety, Anger are all kith and kin and these emotions are very near to most of us. FEAR is much more real and big than anxiety or anger this is what we have assumed . Healing and psychological counselling is a two way learning we become a channel to provide guidance and healing and in turn we are also healed and guided. This blog is part of the same psychic navigation that is guiding to write down this process. This can be applied to all our emotions that make us uncomfortable for example I have taken FEAR.

Lower Emotions

We perceive ourselves as individual entities but now even Science is speaking about the invisible FIELD and a matrix that is holding the universe together. Being alone or separate is only an illusion of the EGO. The EGO is our lower nature that is always hungry and its food is lower emotions (FEAR based emotions refer my Blog Emotion or Energy in Motion)

These lower emotions are like rapids once you are in their vicinity they try to suck you in. Fear is that feeling of being sucked in  and being battered and destroyed.  We all know swimming against a current is always tough and causes panic due to resistance than surrendering to the flow. So this constant struggle to move away or run away is what is causing the lower emotions (Anxiety/Anger/Fear) to appear like monsters . It is better to enter this dark tunnel or the turbulent rapid rather than resisting , as then you will know it ; rather than ho;ding that fear of the unknown.

Fear like Love is only an emotion conceived and birthed by our thoughts. At any point in life we can alter our thoughts and overcome our Fear applicable for all lower emotions. We are born with primitive instincts and we crave for security anything that challenges our survival/security causes us to fear and stress. These instincts can always be overcome here is a short How to Overcome Fear tips:

How to Overcome Fear

1. Identify the Fear you want to work on – Sit comfortably and introspect identify the major fears that are holding you back, you can do this with any of your negative emotions.

2. Understand Fear is only an Emotion that has not been attended – All these negative emotions are so real and scary because that is what we want to think about them. In reality it is just an emotion which we have created with our own thoughts and that can be changed.

I remember a scene in Life of Pi where Pi is with this huge Tiger and is so fearful but once there is no choice left for them to run the Fear just transmutes into love for each other.

“Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain.” –Mark Twain

We have always tried to run away from them and they continue chasing us not to scare us but begging for our attention

3. Sit with this Emotion of Fear – Once you understand that FEAR is only an emotion that is waiting to be embraced /attended. It becomes easy to overcome it. Hold this emotion in your heart be with it and feel it.

4. Talking with your Fear – Once you are able to feel this emotion in your heart; speak with emotion ; this talk can be in your head or aloud and ask what is there that you have to learn from this emotion and that you are ready to learn and face this emotion.

5. Short Meditation to Transmute FEAR – Visualize a ball of pink light at your heart center visualize this pink ball of light enveloping your entire being flooding the emotion of fear where ever you felt it and imagine it growing till you are contained in this pink light. Be with this feeling till you feel the emotion no more exists but has transmuted.Take your time and once you are done

Affirm I am Healed of My FEAR (3)
